Update-a-Rooney

Seattle is dripping like leaky plumbing on the second floor. I’m annoyed but not overly. Rain before work means it’ll be dry when I’m closing. Taking out the trash is always worse when it’s raining. I’m at the Mecca before my shift and it’s the most free time I’ve had in over a week. Employed at a small business, darkness has broken and it’s definitely not a train attached to the light. In the words of W. S. Churchill – This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

I have so many topics to comment on I don’t know where to start. I don’t write here as often as before for one main reason – this blog has done it’s job. I can write without effort and that’s more valuable than anything else I’ve done yet. I am writing blog posts for my current job at Raygun Lounge, so I didn’t stop completely, but the need to write every day so I don’t forget how has passed. Much like my yoga practice, I’ve done it consistently long enough to feel lost without it. I can’t go more than a couple days without writing and no more than five without yoga-ing. Combine that with regular intervals of relaxation and I’m looking at a balanced life.

With regular employment, so too has my social life regulated. I don’t have time for many people and the ones I do make time for seem to appreciate it. If they don’t, I am not as willing to give them time. It’s a self-selecting system of friendship and I haven’t worked out all my kinks yet. Speaking of kink, I’m having the best sex of my life right now. Completely with myself. I finally ordered a state-of-the-art custom dildo and am now an expert at getting myself off – completely. None of the half-assed, that-sorta-feels-good crap anymore. No more partners that “don’t like doing that”. Frankly, I’m easy to please. If I had 4 hands I’d never need another person again.

One of my bar friends is visiting Memphis next week. I told him to hit the P&H and Ernestine & Hazels. His name’s Barry. If you see him, be nice.
